Buffalo Teeth, Black Lava Rock
NECKLACE

She is open, protected, and abundant. My lovely friend Caren adorned herself in this beautiful prayer. So honored to see the necklace I made for her incorporated. Buffalo teeth and black lava rock. Channeling a warrior spirit in this ever changing landscape of 2020.

“YEAR OF THE RAT”
MEDICINE NECKLACE

Rat Skull, Turquoise, Silver from Nepal. I was gifted this rat skull while buying frames for my art show. I didn’t know what to do with it, but then, this year arrived, The Year of the Rat. I knew I had to embody a warrior spirit to guide me beyond tough times back to a life of abundance, so I honored this year by making this necklace. It’s a reminder of resiliency.

Compost Headdress, featured in the image “Gaia’s Crown”
BELLA MONNEZZA SERIES

Our history is in our food; it embeds in our DNA. Our food comes from this planet, Gaia, The Pachamama, Mother Earth. She nourishes us with her blooms and fruits and in turn we incubate her with our decay. Compost is our offering; letting our spoils be the fuel for the next harvest season.

“The Flower and the Bone are the Same in Time”
Bone Mandala / Photograph, 10″ x 12″
We are never guaranteed tomorrow. I carry this message every day. Some say it’s dark or morbid, but we really never know what life will bring us. I know all too well the fragility of the moment, how one action can change the course of life in an instant, how relationships dissolve, how quickly people pass. It’s not a fascination. It’s a phrase beckoning intention to not take a moment, a feeling, a relationship for granted. It’s a space for passion and gratitude. A space for staying in love with life and the people you hold dear. The only thing certain in life is change, so take every day in with great respect. The flower and the bone are the same in time.
